Insider Journeys shall not be liable for any damages, including direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, resulting from your use of this website, its services, or links, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
The laws of the state of North Carolina govern this agreement. If any part of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, including but not limited to warranty disclaimers and liability limitations, such provision will be replaced by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely reflects the original intent. The remainder of the agreement shall continue in effect. Use of this website is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these terms and conditions, including this paragraph.
You warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal authority to enter into this Agreement and to make travel bookings with INSIDER JOURNEYS. You agree to be financially responsible for all travel bookings you make with us, whether made on behalf of yourself or for other members of your traveling party. You warrant that all information supplied by you on behalf of yourself, members of your household, or others for whom you are authorized to transact business with us is true and accurate. You agree that you will only make legitimate reservations or purchases with INSIDER JOURNEYS and its Suppliers, and you acknowledge that, without limitation, any speculative, false, or fraudulent reservation is prohibited. INSIDER JOURNEYS accepts all bookings solely as the booking agent for the travel Suppliers on your itinerary. Separate Supplier terms and conditions will apply to your reservation and purchase of travel-related goods and services that you select, and you understand and agree that by booking travel through INSIDER JOURNEYS, you are also agreeing to the booking terms of each Supplier partner you have selected for your itinerary. You agree that you will abide by the terms and conditions of purchase imposed by any Supplier that you have selected as a service provider on an itinerary you have approved. INSIDER JOURNEYS is not liable or responsible for any arrangements made independently of INSIDER JOURNEYS. INSIDER JOURNEYS assumes no responsibility for costs or fees you
incur for independent arrangements not booked through INSIDER JOURNEYS, including airline, hotel, excursion, and travel protection-related charges. If you make your own flight arrangements, INSIDER JOURNEYS is not responsible for any loss resulting from cancellation or changes in international gateways, itineraries, or travel dates and cannot assist you with any schedule changes or delays related to air reservations you have made on your own arrangement. Earning frequent flyers or other loyalty points for reservations on your itinerary may not be possible. With limited exceptions, hotel and airline rewards or points cannot be redeemed for travel arrangements made by INSIDER JOURNEYS.
We reserve the right to correct errors. In the event of any pricing error or omission, we reserve the right to adjust such pricing or make any other corrections. All offers, incentives, and Supplier promotions are subject to availability and may change without notice. You are advised to confirm reservations well before your anticipated travel dates to avoid disappointment, increases in fares, and additional late booking fees.
You shall be completely responsible for all charges, fees, duties, taxes, and assessments arising from your travel bookings through INSIDER JOURNEYS. By submitting a credit card authorization form to INSIDER JOURNEYS, you agree to allow INSIDER JOURNEYS to use your payment method to purchase travel products from our Suppliers on your behalf. Excepting in cases of fraud, you agree not to file any dispute with your bank or credit card company to avoid or violate any booking terms and conditions of Insider Journeys or its suppliers, including cancellations or changes of itinerary or arrangements for reasons beyond the control of insider journeys or its suppliers. If you attempt to chargeback, reverse, or recollect a previously authorized trip payment, Insider Journeys reserves the right to collect all additional costs, fees, and expenses associated with such chargeback, reversal, or recollection, including, without limitation, attorney fees. All payments for travel are due before departure according to each Supplier’s terms and conditions of booking. You understand that failure to make final payment or any violation of a Supplier’s conditions of purchase may result in cancellation of your reservations, in your being denied access to any flights, tours, hotels, cruises, or other travel services, or in your forfeiting any monies paid for your reservations. Sometimes, there is NO REFUND once a booking is made and under deposit. You may not be entitled to a refund if you change or cancel your travel plans after confirmation of a booking. All cancellation requests must be sent to INSIDER JOURNEYS in writing. As a result of cancellation or changes to confirmed bookings, cancellation penalties for INSIDER JOURNEYS and third-party Suppliers will apply. Cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card or other payment method you authorized to pay for travel services or deducted from the Supplier’s refund. If you decide to change any portion of your confirmed arrangements prior to departure or during your trip, we will attempt to assist you. Certain bookings may not be able to be changed, and you will be responsible for any cost increases imposed by the Supplier and any INSIDER
JOURNEYS or Supplier change fees. When tour, cruise, or package prices are based on Suppliers’ contract rates, you will not be entitled to any refund for any unused travel portion.
1. Travel Document Requirements Passengers are responsible for ensuring they possess the appropriate travel documents for their trip. This includes verifying with the respective consulate(s) or visa agencies whether visas or passports are required. Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond travel dates. Some countries also require a full blank page in the passport for stamping purposes. It is the sole responsibility of the traveler to secure and pay for any and all necessary visas, reciprocity fees, affidavits, immunizations, and any other requirements to gain entry into each destination. Failure to obtain the proper visas, passport, or other required documents may result in being unable to leave a country or enter a destination. No refund will be available in such cases, and Insider Journeys will have no liability.
Validity: Certain countries will not admit passengers whose passports expire within six (6) months of the anticipated return date from an Insider Journeys tour.
· Non-U.S. Citizens: If traveling on a passport from a country other than the United States, it is your responsibility to inform Insider Journeys. Non-U.S. citizens may require additional documentation. Insider Journeys does not control or warrant the issuance of visas or approval of visa waivers. If a visa is not issued, Insider Journeys is not responsible for any lost payments related to the trip. Note that entry and exit rules may change at any time.
U.S. and Canadian Citizens: The information provided pertains to U.S.A citizens only. Non-U.S. citizens should check with the respective consulate of the country(s) to be visited for current entry requirements.
· Identification for Travel: When traveling domestically or internationally, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) advise that everyone carry acceptable identification to board a flight. Acceptable identification includes a DHS-designated enhanced driver’s license, a U.S. passport, or a foreign government passport. Passport cards are not accepted for most international travel. For more details, visit. http://www.tsa.gov/.
Requirements: Children and infants may also need travel documents. Minors traveling with one parent and/or without both parents may be denied entry unless authenticated and verified consent forms are provided. For more information, visit [U.S. Customs and Border Protection](https://help.cbp.gov).
Groups of children under 19 arriving in the U.S. by land or sea from contiguous territory and traveling with a school group, religious group, social or cultural organization, or sports team may present a birth certificate, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or a Naturalization Certificate. Parental or legal guardian consent must be provided to the supervising adult or group leader in writing.
· Verification: The name, date of birth, and gender on your identification card must match the data listed on your tickets and booking records exactly. You are responsible for ensuring accurate information on your tickets and confirmations. Any discrepancies may result in denied boarding or delays at airport security checkpoints, potentially causing missed flights or subsequent bookings.
· Document Review: Upon receiving your travel documents, review and verify all information for accuracy. Contact Insider Journeys immediately if changes or corrections are needed. If you do not notify us of necessary corrections within twenty-four (24) hours of receiving your travel documents, Insider Journeys will not be responsible for any additional costs associated with making corrections.
Adhering to these guidelines can help ensure a smooth travel experience.
Entry and exit requirements vary by country and may be affected by past criminal offenses, whether they occurred within or outside that country. If you have a current or prior criminal offense, you should directly contact the relevant country’s authorities to understand their specific entry and exit requirements. For further guidance, visit the U.S. Department of State’s website at [travel.state.gov](https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html).
Please note that we do not conduct inquiries into individuals’ criminal records in order to protect client privacy. For instance, if you are traveling to or through Canada, it is important to check the entry requirements related to criminal offenses, such as a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) conviction or unpaid child support judgments. For more information, visit [Canada’s official website](https://www.canada.ca).
You are responsible for obtaining the necessary immunizations and health screenings and carrying documentation of these requirements before traveling. Insider Journeys does not assume responsibility for verifying health, vaccination, or documentation requirements either before departure or upon arrival at your final destination.
In some cases, required vaccinations must be documented on a valid vaccination certificate, which you must carry as proof of inoculation. If you have concerns about taking medications or receiving certain vaccinations, consult your health practitioner before making travel arrangements.
For up-to-date information on travel health requirements, visit the U.S. Department of State at [travel.state.gov](http://travel.state.gov) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at [wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel](http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel).
Travel to certain destinations may involve higher risks. Insider Journeys advises clients to stay informed about current events and to review travel restrictions, warnings, announcements, and advisories issued by the U.S. Government before booking international travel. For information on health and safety conditions and risk levels for specific international destinations, visit [state.gov](http://www.state.gov), [tsa.gov](http://www.tsa.gov), [dot.gov](http://www.dot.gov), [faa.gov](http://www.faa.gov), [cdc.gov](http://www.cdc.gov), and [cbp.gov](http://www.cbp.gov).
The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is a free service provided by the U.S. Government for U.S. citizens traveling to or residing in foreign countries. STEP allows you to register your trip, which helps the Department of State provide assistance in emergencies. Registration is recommended and can be completed at [STEP](https://step.state.gov/step/).
By offering travel to certain destinations, Insider Journeys does not guarantee that such travel is advisable or risk-free. Insider Journeys will not be liable for any costs, damages, or losses resulting from travel to these destinations. Participation in any trip constitutes acceptance of these risks.
You are also responsible for ensuring that you have the proper immunizations, health screenings, and the necessary documentation before traveling. Insider Journeys assumes no responsibility for verifying health, vaccination, or documentation requirements. Consult your health practitioner for fitness advice and required vaccinations before booking. You may be required to sign waivers before or on the departure date, and failure to do so may prevent participation in the trip or specific activities.
Insider Journeys assumes no liability for damages resulting from your participation in activities during the trip. Activities such as climbing, hiking, extensive walking, general touring, and the use of various transportation and recreational vehicles may carry risks greater than those encountered in daily life. By participating in these activities, you accept all associated risks.
In the event of health or safety concerns, Insider Journeys will investigate the situation and reserves the sole discretion to decide whether to proceed with, alter, or cancel any escorted trip or private departure.
By booking with Insider Journeys, you acknowledge that participating in tours, trips, or other travel arrangements may involve risks beyond the control of Insider Journeys, its officers, directors, volunteers, and agents. These risks include but are not limited to, force majeure events, accidents, emergencies, epidemics/pandemics, exposure to reckless behavior by others, and negligence by security, police, military, or medical personnel. Insider Journeys disclaims any and all liability related to these risks. During any breaks or optional activities associated with the tour, you participate at your own risk and must adhere to the terms and conditions set by any activity providers.
By accepting these terms and conditions, you agree that you may be waiving important legal rights and remedies for yourself, your family, heirs, successors, and assigns. You assume all risks and waive any claims of liability against Insider Journeys. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Insider Journeys from any actions, claims, or demands arising from your participation in the tour or any activities related to it. Additionally, for any injury or damage to third parties caused by your actions or omissions, you agree to indemnify and defend Insider Journeys against all claims, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and related expenses.
By using Insider Journeys’ services, you acknowledge and agree that Insider Journeys, its employees, and agents will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing obligations under this Agreement caused by events beyond their reasonable control. These events include, but are not limited to:
– Natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, fires, explosions, landslides, severe weather, and volcanic eruptions
– Acts of God, civil commotion, riots, war, terrorism, epidemics, and pandemics
– Governmental actions or omissions, including border closures, travel warnings, or changes in laws and regulations
– Industrial disputes, breakdown of communication facilities, equipment malfunctions, and destruction or damage to facilities
– National strikes, lack of availability of raw materials or energy, and other unforeseen circumstances
Insider Journeys is not responsible for any delays, cancellations, or resulting losses or expenses, including those related to accommodation, transfers, or unused services, caused by these events. Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover unforeseen circumstances. Furthermore, each of Insider Journeys’ suppliers has its own terms and conditions, which include Force Majeure provisions. Suppliers may, at their sole discretion, vary, postpone, or
cancel any itinerary or arrangement during a Force Majeure event. The decision to provide any refunds due to non-performance is at the supplier’s sole discretion, according to their policies. Traveling to remote locations may also involve inherent risks, such as limited access to medical facilities. You assume all associated risks and responsibilities, including potential illness, injury, or death. Insider Journeys will not be liable for any injury, financial loss, or damages arising from these conditions or other factors beyond its control.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover various aspects of your trip, including Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Baggage Loss or Delay, Medical Expenses, and more. For comprehensive protection, ensure that the insurance covers:
– Trip Interruption
– Personal Injury
– Medical Expenses
– Evacuation and Repatriation
– Coverage during pandemic events
You may consult our available travel insurance options for detailed information and costs.
Insider Journeys provides access to travel insurance to protect passengers and their investments. Please note that travel insurance is not included in the cost of your itinerary unless explicitly stated. Travel insurance can cover:
– Third-Party Supplier Default/Bankruptcy
– Trip Delay, Interruption, and Missed Connections (including for cruises)
– Trip Cancellation
– Medical Emergency Transportation and Evacuation
– Repatriation
– Baggage and Personal Effects Loss, Delay, or Damage
– Illness, Job Loss Protection, and Change of Plans
– Accidental Death and Disability
– Travel Accident/Sickness Medical Expenses
Proper travel insurance can safeguard you from financial loss under many circumstances. Without appropriate insurance, you acknowledge that cancellations or interruptions may not be refunded, and Insider Journeys’ and travel suppliers’ cancellation penalties will apply, which could result in the loss of all or part of your travel costs.
While the purchase of travel insurance is not mandatory for booking other services with Insider Journeys, if you choose to decline coverage, you may be required to sign an insurance waiver. Insider Journeys is not a licensed insurance broker and cannot provide technical advice on benefits, exclusions, or the adequacy of existing insurance coverage. Any travel insurance selected incurs an additional charge. It is your responsibility to understand what your insurance policy covers and to seek alternative coverage for any conditions excluded by your policy. Insider Journeys cannot guarantee insurance coverage approval for any claims made under the insurer’s policy and makes no representations regarding the extent of coverage provided.

Insider Journeys may, at its sole discretion, offer travel vouchers or refunds in accordance with its cancellation policy. You are responsible for any additional costs related to air tickets or other travel arrangements not made by Insider Journeys.
Insider Journeys does not own, manage, control, or operate any transportation or recreational vehicles (including motor coaches, boats, helicopters, or airplanes), hotels, restaurants, or other service providers connected with your trip. All travel services are governed by the terms and conditions of the respective suppliers and the laws of the countries where these services are provided. For example, the passage contract (conditions of carriage) issued by airlines constitutes the sole agreement between the airlines and the trip participants.
Insider Journeys acts solely as a booking agent for disclosed principal suppliers and is not the provider of any travel services. Each supplier operates as an independent entity with its own management and is not controlled by Insider Journeys. The suppliers listed in travel documentation are responsible for providing the travel services you purchase, and you consent to using those suppliers. Suppliers may alter itineraries for various reasons, including severe weather. Any changes to an itinerary are at the sole discretion of the supplier. Insider Journeys assumes no responsibility for such alterations. As Insider Journeys acts solely as an agent for these independent suppliers and does not control their operations, we are not liable for any personal injury or property damage arising from their services. Insider Journeys disclaims all liability, whether based on contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise, including but not limited to direct, punitive, special, consequential, incidental, or indirect damages related to the goods or services provided by any supplier booked through Insider Journeys. This includes liability for any act, error, omission, injury, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity caused by the fault, negligence, willful acts, or omissions of the suppliers or their employees, agents, or representatives. This also covers issues such as inadequate service delivery, cancellations, refund policies, fuel increases, bankruptcy, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. You agree to indemnify and hold Insider Journeys harmless from any such liability. Insider Journeys earns commission and fees from travel transactions, and any recovery from Insider Journeys will be limited to the amount of commission and fees actually received.
Federal law prohibits passengers from carrying hazardous materials on aircraft. Violations can result in imprisonment of up to five years and fines of $250,000 or more (49 U.S.C. 5124). Hazardous materials include but are not limited to, explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives, and radioactive materials. Examples include paints, lighter fluid, fireworks, tear gases, oxygen bottles, and radiopharmaceuticals. Special exceptions apply to small quantities (up to 70 ounces total) of medicinal and toilet articles in checked luggage and certain smoking materials carried on your person. For specific regulations, don’t hesitate to get in touch with your airline representative or refer to the TSA’s list of prohibited items at [TSA Prohibited Items](http://www.tsa.gov/traveler-information/prohibited-items).
In some countries, airlines are required to treat passenger cabins with insecticides before or during the flight. For a list of affected airports and countries, visit the Department of Transportation’s website, which is updated periodically: [DOT Aircraft Disinsection Requirements](http://www.dot.gov/office-policy/aviation-policy/aircraft-disinsection-requirements).
Your airline ticket constitutes a contract between you and the air carrier, even if purchased through Insider Journeys. By booking air travel through Insider Journeys, you acknowledge that Insider Journeys does not control the operations of independent airlines and is not liable for any personal injury or property damage related to air travel. This includes but is not limited to, any acts, errors, omissions, injuries, losses, accidents, or delays caused by the airline, including inadequate service delivery, airline policies on refunds or rebooking, fees for baggage, fuel surcharges, bankruptcy, or cessation of operations. Insider Journeys functions solely as an airline booking agent and does not handle or hold client funds for airline tickets. According to the Department of Transportation’s regulations, we are not the Merchant of Record. Any refunds for canceled or delayed flights, baggage fees, or seat assignments must be processed directly by the airline.
Insider Journeys is not responsible for air schedule changes. Certain departure taxes in some countries may need to be paid in cash and can vary in price. Failure to use a reservation may lead to automatic cancellation of all subsequent flights and forfeiture of airfares. Airline e-tickets generally expire one year from the issue date unless otherwise specified by the carrier’s fare rules. Due to enhanced security measures, it is strongly recommended that you check in at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure time for domestic flights and 3 hours for international flights. You should also reconfirm flight times at least 24 hours before departure for domestic flights and 72 hours for international flights. Frequent flyer mileage accrual is at the discretion of the airline(s). Insider Journeys has no control over the accrual of miles or points, or the availability of upgrades. Many airlines restrict upgrades on certain fare classes or when using
frequent flyer miles, loyalty status, or certificates. Seat assignments are not guaranteed even if they are confirmed, and Insider Journeys has no control over airline seat assignments. Most airlines charge a fee to pre-book seats.
An adult must accompany all minors under the age of 18. Most hotels require that children under 18 do not occupy a room without an adult present. By allowing a minor to participate in an Insider Journeys trip, the minor’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) agree to assume full responsibility for the supervision and well-being of the minor throughout the journey. This includes ensuring the minor adheres to all safety rules and guidelines provided verbally and in writing. Accompanying adults are responsible for the safety of their children, including providing any necessary safety equipment, such as infant or child seats, as appropriate. Parents and/or guardians, on behalf of themselves and the minor, agree to release and hold harmless Insider Journeys from any damages, including but not limited to emotional distress, incurred by the minor. Please be aware that many countries have regulations to prevent international abductions of children. If a minor will be traveling with an adult who is not their parent or with only one parent, it is required to carry a notarized letter of consent from both parents, or the non-traveling parent, granting permission for the trip and specifying the dates of travel. If you are traveling as a guardian of a minor, we strongly recommend carrying a letter from both parents authorizing emergency medical treatment in case of illness or accident. Insider Journeys is not responsible for any travel disruptions caused by improper documentation for minors traveling without both parents.
Special dietary requests: the restaurants, hotels, caterers, and numerous other partners we work with all do their best to accommodate special dietary requests from you. However, given the diverse nature of those food providers (from small wineries to grand hotels to world-famous restaurants around the world, some of our partners are better able than others to accommodate such requests. We, therefore, cannot guarantee that all dietary requests can be accommodated at every meal. Also, please note that choices will frequently be limited where dietary requests can be accommodated.
Insider Journeys regrets that it cannot provide special assistance for walking, wheelchairs, motorized scooters, dining, or other personal needs. If you need such assistance, you must be accompanied by an able companion who will assist you. We regret that some itineraries cannot accommodate wheelchairs or motorized scooters. Insider Journeys may require you to produce a doctor’s certificate certifying you can partake physically or mentally in the trip. If Insider Journeys cannot accommodate your needs reasonably or believes that your health and safety could be compromised, we reserve the right to refuse you a place on the trip.
By booking with Insider Journeys, you agree to assume responsibility for any damage or loss you cause during the trip. If such damage or loss occurs, you must pay the accommodation owner, manager, or other supplier directly for the full amount of the damage or loss (or a reasonable estimate if the exact amount is not known). You also agree to indemnify Insider Journeys for any claims made against us, including legal costs. Insider Journeys is not responsible for any expenses related to the removal of a guest from the trip or any part of it. You agree not to hold Insider Journeys or any of its affiliates liable for actions taken under these terms and conditions. Additionally, you are solely responsible for your baggage and personal effects at all times. Possession, use, or transportation of illegal drugs will lead to the immediate termination of your trip and could result in legal prosecution. You are responsible for understanding and complying with the drug possession laws, including those for prescription and over-the-counter medications, in all countries and states you visit. Some jurisdictions may require a prescription from your doctor for certain medicines.
Insider Journeys reserves the right to capture photographs and videos during any tour, event, or service operation. These images and recordings may be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to marketing materials, social media, and our website. By booking with Insider Journeys, you consent to use your image and likeness in these photographs and videos. Please notify us in writing before departure if you prefer that your images not be used. Additionally, upon arrival at your destination, inform your local tour guide of your preference to opt out of photography or videography.
The nature of some cruises, cruising and/or shore excursions means that for some excursions there are no formal jetties. While staff are always on hand to assist, those with limited mobility may find these areas difficult to access. Due to the unpredictable nature of weather and its effect on river conditions and water levels, it may on occasions be necessary to complete some elements of the itinerary by land, rather than by boat, or to alter the route of the vessel including substituting some planned stops for others. Such changes can occur at any time without prior notice or warning and no refunds will be given in this instance.
In the unlikely event that you are unsatisfied with any aspect of your Travel Product, you must immediately notify the Third-Party Travel Provider of your Travel Product or travel consultant (please refer to your pre-departure guide) to ensure we are given the opportunity to address and attempt to resolve any issue that you may raise at the time they occur. If a problem cannot be resolved to your satisfaction and you wish to pursue this matter further, you must contact your
travel agent in USA on the spot or you can contact our customer service on the spot, it the matter not solved at your satisfaction, you must write to us within 10 days upon your return to the following email address: Agents@insiderjourneys.us
You must provide your booking reference number and full details of your complaint to allow us the opportunity to respond.
We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be provided to clients and posted on our website immediately upon posting. Any claim against INSIDER JOURNEYS must be brought within 12 months after the date of the completion of the trip and not later. INSIDER JOURNEYS shall not, in any case, be liable for damages other than compensatory damages, and you waive any right to claim punitive or exemplary damages. You agree that you may only bring claims in your individual capacity and not as plaintiffs or class members in any class action, proposed or purported class action, or other representative action, regardless of the type of proceeding. You expressly agree to waive and forego any and all rights to bring any such class actions, purported or proposed class actions, or representative actions. If any part of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law, including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and agreement shall continue in effect. These Terms and Conditions (and any other terms and conditions referenced herein) constitute the entire agreement between the Client and INSIDER JOURNEYS with respect to travel bookings made with INSIDER JOURNEYS by any means, and it supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written, between Client and INSIDER JOURNEYS with respect to communications with INSIDER JOURNEYS. A printed version of this agreement and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to these Terms and Conditions to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form.
